I have updated this PR with some more comments, and updated the
supporting tool I used to test it. I'm now able to validate the CRL
chain for every HTTPS site I could think of to test, including twitter
and myspace (which I could previously not get to validate, I think
because they use 'teletextstrings', which I've never even heard of).

I think this PR really moves the state of CRL handling in Erlang solidly
into the real of 'possible', and as Basho will be shipping this patch with
Riak 2.0. I'd *really* like to see it land in R17.
